The Dior Vibe bag launches today as a fitting nod to sports luxe. Envisioned by Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri and unveiled at the Maison’s Cruise 2022 show in Athens last year, the bowling-bag-style weekender presents a balance between tradition with its classic leather elements and free-spiritedness that’s characteristic of Maria’s vision.

The Dior Vibe bag is sister to the avowedly favorite Dior Vibe sneakers, as its bottom is made entirely out of rubber, bringing together sportswear codes and the couture spirit of the House. Among the centerpieces of the collection is the Bowling Bag in smooth calfskin that’s bedecked with the ‘Christian Dior Paris’ signature, with its underside featuring a tonal sculpted rubber star motif inspired by the sneakers.

The star motif was considered as a good-luck charm by Monsieur Dior. “Dior Vibe is an entire universe; it’s not just related to the bags. It’s a transversal aspect of all the lines created by Maria Grazia. So, it’s more like a lifestyle, an energy, Dior Vibe. It’s a vibration, or a shock,” is said in the video showcasing the savoir-faire behind the Dior Vibe Bowling Bag.
Functional and fabulous, the street-chic Dior Vibe bag line also features hidden pockets and practical shoulder straps. The Bowling Bag style is available in color combinations like black and white, blue and white, white and gold, and white and gold with stars. The Hobo edition in Cannage lambskin delights in shades such as pink, orange, white and black, featuring a suede interior and an adjustable shoulder strap with a military-inspired buckle, so you can carry it by hand, or wear it as a crossbody for a sportier look.

Its craftsmanship is marked by elements like the ‘Christian Dior’ signature stripe, lined with a layer of leather and foam, which is produced using high-frequency printing. Each piece is assembled and sewn together one by one and is cut out with the aid of wooden patterns. The rubber base with the star is shaped and then punctuated with gilded feet – a joyful coming together of the casual spirit and art of detail that are at the core of the Maison.

The rubber zipper, especially on the exterior pocket, is attuned to the graphic lines of the bag and blends elegance with practicality. The lining has been added to the interior using the reverse appliqué quilting technique and each side is delicately structured for a singular look, showcasing the mellifluous blend of sport and Dior’s aesthetic vocabulary.
