Why You Need to Book A Stay At Dubai’s New Family-Friendly Centara Mirage Beach Resort

At the new Centara Mirage Beach Resort in Dubai that overlooks the glittering Deira Islands waterfront, idyllic pleasures await you. It’s the first UAE and Middle East outpost of Thailand’s iconic Centara Hotels & Resorts group, and the third Mirage family-themed resort to have opened in the world, with the preceding ones located in the Thai city of Pattaya and Mui Ne in Vietnam.

Having opened its doors last year, the address houses 607 rooms and suites, which are replete with terraces that offer either city or sea views and luxe amenities. The resort, which is a joint venture with UAE-based developer Nakheel, is located just 30 minutes away from Dubai International Airport and a stone’s throw from the newly-opened sea-facing Souk Al Marfa.

For ultimate fantasy fulfillment, the contemporary Mirage two-bedroom suite offers a panoramic sea view for you and your family to relish. Featuring one king-size bed and two double beds, the 95-square-meter space is perfect for a family of four. Calming accents abound, with a blue, white and orange color palette that cultivates an unhurried air and reflects the resort’s coastal design vocabulary. An Arabesque art piece with palmeral cut-work dresses the bedroom walls, with the cushion and pillow covers decidedly featuring mosaic patterns as a nod to the region.

Centara Mirage Beach Resort is inspired by a joyful coming together of Thai and Arabian adventures, so you know that you’re in for an experiential retreat. Among the highlights is the waterpark that features lagoon pools, waterslides, a  lazy river, kids’ splash area, cliff-jumping platforms and a rope-climbing experience, surrounded by sun decks and swaying palm trees. Winding wooden walkways lead to the glistening beach that’s set against the jewel tones of the sea, creating a painterly setting for water sports.

Candy Spa

To delight your children, the resort offers age-specific kids’ clubs, an outdoor playground and a Candy Spa (you read that right), which is a color-filled and candy-themed children’s wellness zone. If you’re seeking replenishment of the body and mind, there’s a state-of-the-art fitness center and Spa Cenvaree, offering Thai-inspired therapies including couples’ treatments, and hot and cold plunge pools.

Families can relish a wondrous day at the Mirage Family Lounge, which is flecked with beanbags, games and refreshments. Speaking of food, the resort spoils for choice with a selection of nine dining experiences, from Suan Bua serving Asian delights to Uno Mas satiating palates with a traditional Argentinian grill.

The resort also comprises indoor and alfresco spaces for those who wish to host a meeting or event with a view.
