Mark Your Calendars For Valentino’s Live Couture Show In Rome

Valentino is set to stage its live Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2020/21 show in Rome’s Cinecettà Studios on 21 July. Conceived by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli in collaboration with artist Nick Knight,the show will see the human and digital worlds come together, reflecting on the way the world has evolved in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pierpaolo will reveal the inspiration behind the live performance on the digital platform of the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode on 8 July.  The video will also explore the future of physical-meets-digital fashion showcases.

Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019-20

This Live performance was born out of Pierpaolo’s idea that digital effects can substitute human presence. “The limits that we’re living need to be transcended through grace and lightness,” the Maison said in a statement. The performance will further be built on Valentino’s inner values of creativity, imagination and emotion.

The show will go live on digital platforms and select fashion reviewers based in the country will be invited to experience the event in person, in keeping with all safety measures and the situation in Rome at the time.
