How Some Brands Are Celebrating The Year Of The Ox

The Chinese New Year is an event celebrating the beginning of the new year according to the traditional lunar calendar.

This year, the 16-day festival falls on February 12 and particularly celebrates the Ox, the second of the zodiac animals.

In line with this holiday, many brands have released collections inspired by the Ox, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese culture.

British luxury brand Burberry unveiled a capsule collection with a reimagined Thomas Burberry monogram in celebration of the year of the Ox. The drop also includes a limited-edition baseball cap designed by the brand’s Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci.

In honour of this festival, Tory Burch introduced Ozzy, a symbol of strength and reliability in a limited collection of bags, shoes, shirts, and accessories.

Apple released a special edition of their famous AirPods Pro with an Ox design in celebration of the new year.

Coffeehouse Starbucks launched a Chinese New Year set of mugs, snow globes, water bottles, tumblers, and more with a special Ox design throughout.

French brand Longchamp released a unique edition of its famous Pliage Cuir bag featuring illustrations of a cow with a daisy, inspired by the Ox, this year’s zodiac animal.
