Whimsical. That’s the word that comes to mind when we see the new Valentino Garavani limited-edition accessories collection, available only in the Maison’s Middle Eastern boutiques. Its campaign has been imagined by Dubai-based photographer Abdulla Elmaz, who is known for marrying surrealism with classic Renaissance art in his creative practice.
Designed by Valentino’s Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, the collection featuring four precious skin women’s handbags and five women’s shoes, is at once playful and pristine. Abdulla, who is the photographer behind Villa 88‘s December 2019 cover featuring Sheikha Latifah Al Maktoum, creates a campaign that showcases a wondrous interplay of light and animation.
Adorned with Valentino’s signature ‘V’ logo, the capsule collection has been captured with Abdulla’s signature use of mirrors for reflection and desert palm leaves for an Arabesque feel. He re-envisions modern luxury with a campaign that’s both inviting and unique.
