Oh, Chanel. Among the French Maison’s many iconic pieces is the timeless J12 watch, which celebrates 20 years this month. The timepiece, which was first created in 2003, is a classic that’s sure to allure, whether you dress up or down. Inspired by the silhouettes of racing yachts from America’s Cup, the J12 has been lauded as an icon of 21st-century watchmaking. At once classic and contemporary, the watch has been created with high-resistant ceramic, dressed in the timeless hues of black and white.

Now, 20 years since the launch of this iconic timepiece, Chanel is introducing a new limited-edition version, the J12.20. It pays a tribute to Coco Chanel’s favorite flower, the Camellia, and incoporates 20 other elements associated with the Maison.

For an even more graphic impact, the numerals are redesigned in ceramic. The enhanced dial is now larger, with the bezel and crown more refined. This regal timepiece is embellished with 12 diamonds and polished rhodium-plated motifs, seen on both the bezel and the dial. Equipped with the caliber 12.1 and limited to 2020 pieces, the timepiece is also available in an Haute Horlogerie enameled version. Tastemakers, watch out.
