Long been coveted for being a hotbed of luxe living, Dubai has been named as one of the 20 most luxurious cities in the world in a recent report issued by Money.co.uk. For its sumptuous hotels, fine dining restaurants and designer brands, the city has claimed 16th place in the list, joining the ranks of luxury capitals like Paris, London and Tokyo.
The study was conducted by finance experts, who analyzed the number of luxury hotels, restaurants and designer shops in every city. Dubai has 188 luxury locations and ranked highest for its wide selection of “jaw-droppingly glamorous hotels,” and 112 luxury resorts.
The study considered 10 of the world’s best luxury brands, including Cartier, Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Burberry, Valentino, Hermes and Versace, to determine the cities that offer the best in fashion retail. Dubai earned an impressive score in the category, as it houses 76 high-end designer stores.
