25 Restaurants & Bars, 11 Hotels, One Unforgettable Culinary Journey

This Autumn, from 1-31 October, Shangri-La Hotels across Europe, Canada, India, Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East invites foodies on a two month-long gastronomic journey with the launch of Taste of Shangri-La – an exclusive dining celebration that captures the essence of the brand’s most iconic restaurants around the world.

Known for immersing guests in the spirit of the location with a dedication to exceptional hospitality, Shangri-La has cultivated an impressive gastronomic legacy, with restaurants that have become destinations in their own right. From Paris, Istanbul, London, and Toronto to India and Sri Lanka and beyond, the campaign will present curated tasting menus across 11 participating properties and 25 signature restaurants and bars, each designed to showcase the culinary identity of its venue. The menus highlight the chefs’ most celebrated dishes, each thoughtfully crafted to offer an immersive dining experience at an approachable price. Whether it’s a midweek indulgence or a celebratory evening, Taste of Shangri-La invites guests to rediscover the extraordinary flavours within their own city.

Shangri-La Dubai, UAE 

Shangri-La Dubai has long been a destination for exceptional Asian dining, attracting food lovers from across the city. This October, Shang Palace, the hotel’s beloved signature restaurant, will present an elegant four-course Chinese menu where time-honoured traditions meet modern refinement.

Guests can enjoy starters like Spicy Shredded Chicken Rice Rolls or Marinated Zucchini, followed by signature Beef Short Rib Buns or Mushroom and Tofu Pan-fried Buns. Mains include Aubergine with Black Bean Sauce or Morel Mushrooms and Taro in Truffle Sauce served with Yu Xiang Tofu, concluding with Mango Pomelo Sago or Coconut Snowflake. 

Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Shang Palace presents a five-course Cantonese tasting menu featuring signature Dim Sum, braised e-fu noodles with lobster and cheese, green papaya salad with prawns, and sweet mango soup. A dedicated vegetarian menu is also featured, offering wok-fried king oyster mushrooms and stir-fried celery with cashew nuts. 

At Al Hanah Bar, guests can experience personalised drinks tailored by the head mixologist alongside a round of canapés. Experience Shangri-La through flavour, creativity, and craftsmanship…one drink at a time.

Shangri-La Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

At Shangri-La Jeddah, the culinary spotlight shines on Shang Palace, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant. Here, authentic Cantonese cuisine is brought to life with dishes that balance tradition and modern flair. The Taste of Shangri-La menu features a signature dim sum platter, wok-fried Boston Lobster with silky egg white and truffle, Sichuan Style Australian Wagyu short ribs, wok-fried noodles wrapped in crystal skin and sweet caviar avocado ice cream. 

At Niyyali, flavour, creativity and culture come together to bring guests the true essence of the Lebanese soul. Niyyali’s tasting menu includes whole smoked eggplant, shrimp sayadieh, baklava bil ashta & mastic, whilst also offering a vegetarian version featuring a vegetable broth soup, spinach and pomegranate salad, Freekeh risotto and chocolate & almond rice pudding. 

Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul, Turkey

At Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul, where East meets West on the shores of the Bosphorus, Taste of Shangri-La brings together two distinctive culinary traditions in a celebration of culture, craftsmanship and provenance. At IST TOO, Executive Chef Şevket Cihan delivers a farm-to-table Anatolian dining experience featuring sustainably sourced Balıkesir Lamb Shashlik served with Kars Gruyère freekeh, alongside a plant-based alternative centered on Wild Mushroom Ragout and Black Truffle. 

At Shang Palace, Head Chef Cheng Lu presents Southern Chinese wok craftsmanship through a four-course menu starring Pan-Fried Diced Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce. From delicate Chicken Xiao Long Bao to the elegant Osmanthus Flower Cake, the menu celebrates the artistry and cultural richness of Chinese culinary traditions.

Shangri-La Paris, France

Guests can experience the diversity of French and Asian cuisines at Shangri-La Paris. The new Parisian Bistro Maison Roland features timeless French classics such as grilled sea bass fillet with fresh herb vierge sauce, beef hanger steak with peppercorn sauce, and the Île flottante, ‘Floating Island’, dessert. Meanwhile, Les Salons Du Prince is serving light and refreshing dishes such as the tuna tartare with avocado, kalamansi lemon vinaigrette and basil oil.

At Shang Palace authentic Cantonese flavours take centre stage with a menu that includes lobster ravioli and traditional prawn ravioli, chicken Xiao Long Bao and pan-fried Wagyu beef bao, homemade noodles with minced pork, peanuts and sesame chilli oil, and a chilled coconut mango cream dessert.

Shangri-La The Shard, London, UK

Located in the iconic Shard building, Shangri-La The Shard invites guests to dine at its contemporary British Asian eatery, TĪNG. With Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese-inspired dishes, guests can take a journey through Asia without leaving their table. The Taste of Shangri-La sharing menu showcases highlights such as hand-dived scallop with Thai green curry, roast cod with Jerusalem artichoke, mussels, and lime leaves and the indulgent A5 Kagoshima Wagyu with glazed Tangzhong brioche, shiso and black garlic mayonnaise.

Shangri-La Toronto

Shangri-La Toronto combines the best of contemporary cuisine with a vibrant ambience. Classic techniques are used to transform seasonal Canadian ingredients into innovative and delicious dishes. bosk celebrates Northern Italian gastronomy using seasonal Canadian ingredients. The menu features roasted caramelised cauliflower soup, East Coast Canadian Seafood Risotto, signature Roasted Beet Ravioli, and desserts like pumpkin chai torte and chestnut tiramisu. 

Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius

Shangri-La Le Touessrok invites guests to embark on a culinary journey across its signature restaurants. Kushi offers an intimate, refined Japanese dining experience with Taste of Shangri-La highlights including salmon tartare, Goma Wakame No Sarada, Tara No Yuan-Yaki and Wagyu with sansho crust, eryngii and miso-marinated watermelon. 

Safran celebrates the elegance of Indian cuisine infused with Mauritian flair, serving tandoor-roasted chicken thigh, Punjabi-style chickpeas, Kashmiri lamb curry and Goan prawn curry. Coco’s captures the island spirit in a contemporary beachside setting with smoked aubergine with almond and black pepper praline, grilled grouper fish with bouillabaisse broth and stuffed tomatoes with Créole ratatouille.

Shangri-La Colombo, Sri Lanka

In the heart of Colombo’s dining district, Capital Bar & Grill celebrates fire, flavour, and finesse. For Taste of Shangri-La, the menu showcases dishes like adobo-glazed smoked chicken leg, Harissa-hinted barramundi fillet, or leek and organic mushroom Wellington. 

At Shang Palace, tradition is reimagined with style. The Cantonese tasting menu offers sea cucumber-shaped seafood dumplings, mixed mushrooms with truffle sauce, crispy fried braised beef ribs and Shanghai-style smoked barramundi fillet with rose petals. 

Shangri-La Hambantota, Sri Lanka

Shangri-La Hambantota offers a unique gastronomic journey, from authentic Southeast Asian hawker fare to elevated pub cuisine. Ulpatha offers breathtaking views of the golf course, serving hearty dishes and refined pub favourites. The menu features pan-seared yellowfin tuna, dill-marinated grilled barramundi mosaic, and baked chicken breast. 

Sera will transport you to the vibrant region of Southeast Asia for a night of blissful elegance. Dishes served include Sate ayam with raw papaya salad, hot and spicy Tom yum goong soup, hot garlic prawns, steamed freshwater fish fillet with chilli-coriander sauce, Sichuan chilli chicken with cashew, and Thai sticky rice pudding.

Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, India

Shangri-La New Delhi invites guests on a culinary journey through its celebrated restaurants. At Sorrento, Italian artistry shines with dishes such as rigatoni duck ragù, cream of parmesan risotto, baked chickpea crespelle and Italian meringue.

At Shang Palace, Cantonese tradition meets seasonal finesse. Highlights include crispy duck salad with microgreens, jackfruit dumplings with chilli oil, Sanchen spiced king oyster mushroom, Cantonese-style steamed cod fillet and Kung Pao fresh tofu with cashew nuts.
