There’s A New Italian-Emirati Healthy Snack Bar In Town. Here’s Why You Need To Visit

A new snack bar has opened its doors at Dubai’s Last Exit Khawaneej and it’s truly one-of-a-kind. Grapes & Dates is an Emirati healthy snack bar with its interior design envisioned by award-winning Dubai-based company Niu Studio.

Grapes and Dates is a gallery of Italian-Emirati art fusion, with abstract Arabic calligraphy painted across its walls, while the furniture in the space emanates the 1950s’ retro charm of cafes in Italy. The vibrant artworks in the space were created by Italian artist Carla Asquini, while Emirati artist Dhi’a Allam created the striking calligraphy.

The snack bar offers a range of wholesome and healthy snack options, ranging from Açaí bowls to power toasts to refreshing smoothies. Additionally, the store is eco-friendly, with the ceiling that connects the takeaway area of the snack bar to the indoor sitting area is made from a non-toxic material called Barrisol organic PVC. The terrazzo tiles used on the floors and walls adds a vintage vibe to the space.

The snack bar is sure to make an impression on its visitors. Inspired by vivid colors of fruits and vegetables, the taste-great-feel-good menu and Instagrammable aesthetic makes Grapes and Dates worth a visit.
