What  to see in art this weekend? Head over to Dubai Design District (d3) for ‘Self’, an exhibition featuring female artists from the UAE. The showcase, which has been organized in collaboration with Tashkeel, Cuadro Fine Art Gallery and 1×1 Gallery, was unveiled on Emirati Women’s Day, and features the artworks of 12 Emirati artists.

The exhibition reflects how each artist envisions themselves in relation to their culture, ambitions, and relationships. Works on view include those by Lateefa bint Maktoum, the founder and director of Tashkeel, Maitha Demithan, Alla Edris, Ebtisam Abdulaziz and Dhabiya Al Remeithi.  Don’t miss this important show that’s running in the Building 7 Atrium at d3 until 11 September.
