Stepping into Warif Academy, a pioneering school dedicated to children with severe disabilities, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairperson of Qatar Foundation made a powerful return to her official duties.
Known for her unwavering commitment to education and social development, Her Highness toured the school and met with the children and the working staff. Sheikha Moza took her time discovering the academy, chatting and even playing with the children whose faces were lighting up with excitement.
Her Highness Sheikha Moza’s presence and support stand as a testament to the importance of providing every child with the care, attention, and resources they deserve.
In a post shared on her official social media, she emphasised the significance of supporting children with severe and multiple disabilities, stating:
“We have an ethical and social responsibility to care for children with severe and multiple disabilities, requiring the innovation and development of tools to address their needs. I thank the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Health for their valuable contribution in establishing a specialised educational entity designed to care for children who live with developmental and cognitive disabilities accompanied by physical and health impairments. Warif Academy will complement and enhance Qatar’s efforts in this sector.”
