Chanel’s New J12 Watch Campaign Reveals Defining Seconds In The Lives Of Our Favorite Women

Time is ticking, and how often do we take a moment and recollect the moments that define us? Chanel’s latest New J12 Watch does just that, it charts the story of decisive seconds for a woman who is in touch with her life. In timeless white and black and exquisitely designed with ceramic and steel, the watch features a new self-winding movement, manufactured exclusively for Chanel.

The star-studded campaign features 10 leading names, including Naomi Campbell, Keira Knightley and Vanessa Pardis and Anna Mouglalis, among others. Each accomplished in her own right, the women reveal defining encounters, and just what it means to them to have a companion for every second.

“Every action that I’ve committed myself to is a decisive second,” says Naomi, the first black fashion model to grace the cover of French Vogue and who has since appeared in several photo shoots with world-famous photographers and walked numerous runways for Chanel. “Right now, I’m definitely living in the moment,” states Keira, who started her career at 16 and went to be chosen by Chanel to be the face of the iconic Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Rouge Coco and Chanel Fine Jewelry.

For Vanessa, a decisive second is one “when you fall in love.” She was 14 when she began her music career with the song Joe Le Taxi, which topped the charts in 1987, and has been affiliated with the French maison since a notable time. So, tell us. What has been defining second of your lives?
