Amazónico Dubai, one of Dubai International Financial Center’s swanky restaurant offerings, reopened yesterday with a stellar new interior facelift. From its bustling Sushi Counter to the rooftop, the space has been entirely reimagined and enhanced in less than 30 days.
“It’s been an incredible challenge to complete the project within such a short time frame, however, the results speak for themselves and we can’t wait to welcome our guests back to experience it,” General Manager, Michele Jenman, said in a release.

Envisioned as a jungle paradise, the redesign has been helmed by the acclaimed Barcelona-based interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who is behind Amazónico’s international outposts. For the Dubai space, he has taken inspiration from undiscovered landscapes in the Amazon, using natural materials throughout the restaurant to realize his vision.

Amazonian butterflies, or Mariposas, dress the entire space, and can be seen resting on the walls encased in glass, whilst their 3D hand-painted versions hang from the ceiling with each sculpture individually lit. Among other design highlights is the grand chandelier of preserved plants, which sits atop the iconic staircase, woven-hessian lamps and tribal patterns. So, you can expect to relish Latin America’s finest dishes in an immersive setting.
