Valentino has inaugurated its new flagship store at 654 Madison Avenue, and according to Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, it embodies “the best architecture in New York” and is an “experience in itself.”

Located in a historic building that once housed Calvin Klein’s iconic flagship, the new Valentino store spans over 10,000 square feet across three floors. Piccioli and his team have meticulously designed each floor, focusing on distinctive visual narratives with chromatic compositions and curated material palettes.

Upon entering through grand double doors adorned with marble handles by Italian ceramicist Massimiliano Pipolo, visitors are greeted by high ceilings and an array of products, including footwear and ready-to-wear pieces. A grand staircase leads to the second floor, featuring VIP areas with apartment-like dressing rooms.

The menswear line is elegantly displayed on the basement floor, offering a comfortable and inviting setting. To commemorate the flagship’s opening, Valentino has collaborated with Italian painter Mario Schifano for an exclusive exhibition within the boutique. Curated by Cold Spring Museum Magazzino Italian Art, the exhibition features five large-scale paintings, creating a vibrant connection between Italy and New York City.
