The Dior Or Capsule Collection Celebrates The Maison’s Love Of The Middle East

As a nod to the festive spirit of Ramadan, Dior has launched the Dior Or capsule collection that offers a mélange of Arabian grandeur and French allure. The line is exclusive to the Middle East and features modern styles and cuts in a palette of glimmering hues, including metallic pink, gold and blue, which reference the region’s skyscrapers and desert dunes.

The couture pieces, featuring dresses, accessories, bags, and footwear, have been crafted in luxe materials, embodying the spirit of Ramadan and the distinct palate of women in the region. In designing the range, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri has drawn inspiration from Dior’s archives, revisiting flowing dresses, blouses, matching skirts, classic Dior bags, shoes, and accessories.

The creations also take a cue from Dior’s love of classic French design, like buttoned blouses and pleated skirts that are perfect for Ramadan nights. With a few pieces cinched with elastic waistband and others featuring wrap detailing, the capsule boasts feminine silhouettes and refined flair.

Also part of the collection are J’Adior pumps, D-Connect sneakers, DiorAct sandals and Dway mules, bedecked with crystals and sparkling ornaments. A host of iconic bags have also been given golden treatment—the Lady D-Lite has been unveiled in pink and gold, and both Lady Dior and its horizontal D-Joy version have been enhanced with a multicoloured iridescent finish.

Dior Or is a joyful celebration of the Maison’s deep-rooted association with the Middle East, as it boasts desert-inspired beige hues and a gem-embellished version of the Mini Lady Dior in a combination of maroon, green and blue tones. The stole, bracelet, and belt with the ‘CD’ logo enrich the line, inspiring new ways to dress up for Ramadan.

The exclusive capsule was launched on 17 March at Dior boutiques and dedicated pop-ups across the Middle East, in- cluding three in Dubai, Riyadh, and Kuwait. The collection went live worldwide from 1 April.
