In efforts to become more sustainable, Spanish luxury house Loewe released a collection of bags made from surplus leather.
The high-quality material remained from previous collection and was reimagined in a new initiative titled “The Surplus Project.”
The bags were created using a traditional weaving technique creating a unique shape highlighted by a beautiful blend of colors.
This is part of Loewe’s plan to reduce their overall CO2 emissions as they rely on sustainable practices throughout the design, manufacturing and packaging process.
Other sustainable initiatives include the “Knot On My Planet” campaign, which aims to protect the elephants with the help of the Elephant Crisis Fund and global ambassador Doutzen Kroes.
