Attiko Dubai: Why The Social Supper Club Should Be On Your Radar | Villa 88 Restaurant Review

The rooftop restaurant boasts jaw-dropping views, an exquisite menu and impeccable service, says Editor, Nina Catt

While there is no shortage of rooftop restaurants across Dubai, there’s something so magical about an al fresco terrace with a sprawling view across the marina, beach and Palm Jumeirah. By day, the vision of lapping waves against the glistening golden sand of JBR is picture-perfect, and by night, the hypnotic lights of the Palm set the mood for an evening to remember. It’s a vantage point that few possess. Welcome to Attiko.

Situated on the 31st floor of the recently opened W Hotel Mina Seyahi, the social supper club serves up sophistication in spades thanks to its roaming musicians, DJ sets, urban jungle-themed décor and moody lighting. But Attiko is more than just a pretty face. It’s imaginative pan-Asian menu is bursting with diverse dishes that will have you planning your return visit before you’ve even finished your entrees.

Make your way through the menu with highlights including the bluefin tuna carpaccio, lobster buns and beef tataki, while the chef’s recommendations include the crispy scallop tempura and spicy wagyu beef striploin – all of which my dinner date guests indulged in, while I sampled the plant-based dishes. The crispy cauliflower maki and the eggplant tempura are bite-sized pieces of heaven…trust me.

When the winter temperatures breeze in, there is no doubt the terrace will become one of the city’s best spots for sundowners backed by the blazing Arabian sunsets we are so fortunate to witness in this part of the world. The outdoor space oozes laid-back charm and is a tranquil oasis that’s perfect for sampling Attiko’s eclectic drinks menu which celebrates natural ingredients by spiking creative blends with floral essences and heady herbs from Asia.

Inviting guests on a culinary, visual and soulful journey, at Attiko it is all about kicking back and succumbing to the ambience of the meticulously curated vibe. I can’t wait to revisit.
