Alexander McQueen’s AW 2020 Campaign Is A Dreamy Trip To The English Countryside

Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2020 collection takes us on a tour to the English countryside with its sharp suits and white frocks made from Irish-beetled linen. According to Sarah Burton, the Creative Director of the brand, the campaign is inspired by the artistic and poetic heritage of Wales, its folklore and the soul of its crafts.

This countryside-themed campaign, envisioned by photographer Jamie Hawkesworth and art director M/M – Paris, boasts a luxurious yet minimalist aesthetic, with a voluminous yet simple poet-sleeved white dress and skirt held with a black leather harness among the highlights. Another campaign favorite is the black wool silk tailored evening jacket with trompe l’oeil layered lapels and a sculpted heart sleeve in red double duchesse satin. Absolutely stunning.

“The collection is a love letter to women and to families, colleagues and friends. The woman is courageous, grounded, bold: heroic. There’s a sense of protection in the clothes, of safety and comfort,” said Sarah. The campaign features models Anok Yai, Sora Choi and Jill Kortleve.
