Imkan’s Swanky New Residential Project In Abu Dhabi Is A Contemporary Dream

Abu Dhabi-based developer IMKAN has rolled out its new project, Pixel, a luxe apartment building that’s located amidst a seven-tower community in the beach-front Makers District Sales Centre on Reem Island. Now available for viewing, the Pixel show apartment reflects on the pared-down, modern vocabulary of the project.

“The ethos of Pixel is evident in its design, with its architecture encapsulating digitalism, the future, technology, innovation and creativity,” Walid El Hindi, the CEO of IMKAN, said in a release. Created in collaboration with award-winning Dutch architectural firm MVRDV, the housing community comprises of 525 contemporary apartments, ranging from fully-furnished studios to four-bedroom apartments.

Makers District, where Pixel is located, is just a stone’s throw from Louvre Abu Dhabi and the site of the planned Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, so it offers great cultural proximity. Future phases of its masterplan include a waterfront boutique hotel and a series of residential developments with 3,700 units, along with F&B outlets and co-working spaces.

Pixel’s communal area is built around a centralized plaza that includes parks that bring a sense of harmony to the neighborhood. “Putting the human experience first is the philosophy at the core of IMKAN’s operations,” shared Nigel Craddock, IMKAN’s Design Director.

IMKAN’s impressive portfolio includes projects across the country, including Nudra, an exclusive beach-side community that’s home to 37 luxury villas, Sheikha Fatima Park, the capital’s first urban park that seeks to enhance community interaction, and AlJurf at Sahel Al Emarat, which comprises timeless residences set in a preserved and natural ecosystem between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Pixel is scheduled for final completion in 2021.
