The campaign is looking for five talented photographers in the Kingdom, spanning five themes that capture the main attractions of AlUla. The themes include nature, monumental, people, adventure and design. All those who are interested to participate can submit their entries on Instagram by using the hashtag #capturealula and #experiencealula. Each participant is welcome to submit a maximum of 10 photographs to each category. The photographs will be judged based on the technology used, extent of creativity and aspects of storytelling.

Since the heritage sites are currently closed, photographers are welcome to share their previous original work from visits to AlUla. Winners, who will be chosen by the RCU and a panel of judges that will include Sony ambassadors, will be announced by 31 October 2020. The winners will also receive a Sony Alpha 6600M camera and a commission of Dhs9,792 from the RCU to provide 50 images that will be used for marketing activities foreseeing AlUla’s reopening to the public in October this year.
