Cartier announced its collaboration with the Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Created in partnership with the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and the Japanese Government, the Pavilion has been created to highlight the vital role of women in shaping the future and inspiring new generations.
Guided by the belief that “when women thrive, humanity thrives,” Cartier has long been a champion of gender equality. The Women’s Pavilion will serve as a global platform for collective action, welcoming visitors from April 13 to October 13. This pavilion builds on the legacy of its predecessor at Expo 2020 Dubai, continuing its mission of fostering a more inclusive world.
The Women’s Pavilion also embraces the Expo’s theme, “Living Together, Designing Together, For the Future.” The pavilion’s Kumiko-inspired façade, designed by renowned Japanese architect Yuko Nagayama, reinforces Cartier’s commitment to sustainability.
Inside, visitors will embark on an immersive journey curated by acclaimed artist Es Devlin. Through storytelling and artistic expression, the pavilion will explore gender equality, sustainability, and social transformation. Contributions from filmmaker Naomi Kawase, artist Mélanie Laurent, and designer Chitose Abe will further enrich the experience, offering unique perspectives on women’s empowerment.
The WA space, located on the second floor, will host discussions on pivotal themes such as business, technology, education and philanthropy. By providing a platform for thought leaders, activists, and experts, the Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2025 aims to drive meaningful change and create a lasting legacy for future generations.
