Kuwati Sheikha Intisar Al Sabah, founder of the Kuwait-based jewellery brand Intisars, announced her collaboration with award-winning jewellery designer Tariq Riaz for an exclusive collection inspired by the iconic Kuwait water towers.
Sheikha Intisar’s latest collection embodies the spirit of these water towers – symbols of resilience, strength and the life-giving force that nurtures the Kuwaiti nation. The Intisars x Tariq Riaz collaboration is a tribute to Kuwait’s heritage and its enduring generosity.
During an intimate Ramadan gathering hosted by Sheikha Intisar Al Sabah, which brought together friends and supporters, the collection was unveiled. It introduces two powerful words: “Ishq”, meaning “deep, passionate love”, and “Gharam”, meaning “devotion and affection”. These words symbolise the profound connection between Kuwait and its people – just as water towers provide for the nation, love and devotion nourish the soul. This symbolic addition reinforces the spirit of generosity and unity that inspired this collaboration.
As the founder of several initiatives and a staunch believer in giving back to communities, Sheikha Intisar announced that the collaboration is intended to benefit local communities. A portion of the proceeds will support Alnowair’s new initiative, which is designed to educate and empower young Kuwaitis to understand their civic duties. Through this programme, students will participate in replanting Kuwait’s soil in public schools across the nation’s new districts – an act of growth, responsibility and gratitude.
