Hermès’ Women’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection was a bold showcase of intentional layering

Hermès’ Women’s Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2025 collection was just unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. Creative Director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski presented a mostly black monochrome line-up with pops of green and beige. During heavy rains, the collection paid homage to the House’s equisterian roots while also stitching a narrative of intentional layering.

Structured silhouettes and luxurious fabrics

The collection featured sharp tailoring with accented waists and sculptural silhouettes. Outerwear pieces, such as glossy leather coats and long bomber-style jackets in silk gabardine, provide both structure and warmth. The interplay of materials is notable, with functional felt mimicking the fluidity of leather and denim reinforced by leather interfacing. Cashmere and silk turtlenecks are paired with grained goatskin pea coats, exemplifying Hermès’ commitment to luxury and comfort.

Innovative designs and functional details

Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski introduced versatile elements like reversible overcoats and coats that transform into blankets. The collection also showcases intricate details, including hand-painted marble prints and precise leather perforations, adding depth and texture to each piece. Ribbed knits and quilted leathers with generous sleeves and pockets further emphasise functionality.

A colour palette inspired by nature

The colour scheme drew inspiration from natural elements, featuring luminous greens reminiscent of cypress and pine, deep browns and blacks akin to a horse’s coat, and shades of marble white. Charcoal, volcanic, and slate greys add to the earthy tones, creating a harmonious and sophisticated palette suitable for the autumn and winter seasons.

New handbags

Alongside the ready-to-wear pieces, Hermès introduced six new handbag styles for the Fall/Winter 2025 season. These designs include innovative takes on the iconic Birkin and Bolide bags. The new handbags reflect the collection’s themes of modularity and elegance, offering versatile options for the modern woman.
