Al Bait Sharjah Bags The MODAMA Green Hotel & Resort Award For Its Sustainable Hospitality

All eyes are on Al Bait Sharjah, the historical luxury address located in the Heart of Sharjah, which has won big in the Green Hotel & Resort category at the MODAMA Awards. The award was established by the Ajman Tourism Department to recognize efforts towards sustainable hospitality in the country.

“We feel extremely privileged to win this award against other reputable companies who share our same goals towards a sustainable hospitality,” Patrick Moukarzel, General Manager of Al Bait Sharjah, said in a release. “Sustainability represents the foundation of our daily operations, and one of the subjects of international interest that we relate to our guests with. Winning the MODAMA award has not only made us proud of our achievements so far, but ignited our passion to discover what we can do more in the future.”

Presented by Ajman’s crown prince, His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the coveted award aimed at recognizing the property’s sustainable efforts, including producing its own water, reduced energy consumption through modern techniques, and candle wax recycling.

Considered as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Al Bait Sharjah features a collection of historic manor houses with 53 guestrooms and suites, with their design attuned to Arab sensibilities.
