Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser looks beautiful in her own design at the Earthna Summit 2025 Opening Ceremony

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, attended the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Earthna Summit, alongside her two daughters: Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, and Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums.

The Earthna Summit is a two-day event organised by Qatar Foundation, held under the theme Building Our Legacy: Sustainability, Innovation and Traditional Knowledge.

Speaking at the opening of the Summit, Her Excellency Sheikha Hind stated:

“We are committed to ensuring that the outcomes of this Summit are rooted in our own soil — shaped by our culture, our land, our climate, and our traditions. We envision this gathering — and others like it — as spaces where we unite in recognition of our fitrah, the innate human nature that calls us to uphold justice, generosity, and harmony with the world around us.”

Sheikha Moza’s modest fashion is renowned for making powerful statements on the global stage. Attending the summit in signature style, Her Highness arrived in a breathtaking maroon floral abaya — a design she created herself, according to the Sheikha Moza Fashion Instagram account. Known for her distinctive taste in jewellery, Sheikha Moza completed the look with a bold Cartier Open Panther pendant in gold, paired with Cartier Panther earrings adorned with onyx and diamonds.

Embracing the spirit of spring and echoing the summit’s earthy theme, just like her mother, Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani chose an abaya from the Qatari brand Mhefhef. The handwoven piece was naturally dyed with tree leaves and crafted from luxurious mulberry silk.

The Earthna Prize, launched on Earth Day 2024 by Qatar Foundation’s Earthna Centre for a Sustainable Future, recognises projects that integrate traditional knowledge and innovation to address environmental challenges.

Marking the culmination of its inaugural edition, four winning projects — selected from a shortlist of 12 outstanding finalists — will share a US$1 million prize to support and accelerate their work.
