The Arts Club Dubai presents two new stairway exhibitions by artists Sarah Al Mehairi and Mandy El-Sayegh

The Arts Club Dubai is continuing its series of Stairway Exhibitions with two new showcases over the first and second floors of the DIFC venue. This time, the exhibition is spotlighting female artists Sarah Al Mehairi and Mandy El-Sayegh, each presenting their unique perspectives through art.

On the first floor, Emirati Sarah Al Mehairi’s I Construct What I Want to Disrupt: Misaligned Enjambements explores space through her largest-scale pieces to date.

Inspired by the venue’s deep maroon interiors, her abstract works blend blacks, beiges, and reds to create a dialogue between the artwork and the environment they are situated. Integrating elements of poetry with her signature precision, Sara’s pieces offer viewers a layered visual experience.

Mandy El-Sayegh’s Burning Square series

On the second floor, Mandy El-Sayegh’s Burning Square series investigates the intersections of language, culture and memory. Through layered grids, financial newsprint, calligraphy, and gold leaf, Mandy challenges traditional structures of power. Her works Burning Square (Jude), Net-Grid Study (Time Capture 13.11.23) and Burning Square: Free from I have been created to offer a visceral commentary on fragmentation and reconstruction.

Running from now until October 2025, both exhibitions reinforce The Arts Club Dubai’s role as a platform for pioneering regional and international contemporary art. Non-members can view the exhibitions by appointment via rsvp@theartsclub.ae.
