Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder of Kalimat Group, held a reading session on Sunday for her new book, The House of Wisdom, with youth and children, organised by Kalimat Group.
Sheikha Bodour was recognised with the Bologna Ragazzi Award in the Fiction category at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) in Italy.

“It’s a recognition of storytelling’s power to preserve knowledge and inspire future generations,” said Sheikha Bodour upon receiving the prestigious award.
“The House of Wisdom invites readers on a profound journey into the heart of Arab and Islamic civilisation, shining a light on a rich legacy that continues to inspire and guide future generations. Through this book, we aim to celebrate the intellectual achievements of Arabs and Muslims, whose contributions laid the foundation for a global renaissance,” she added.
About the book, Sheikha Bodour said on social media: “The House of Wisdom is a tribute to a golden age of knowledge—where scholars, translators, and thinkers shaped the future. It was lovely to read it to some young people, whom I hope will be inspired to build upon the knowledge they have inherited.”
The House of Wisdom was illustrated by Majid Zakari Younesi. The book encourages young readers to think critically, explore scientific concepts, and recognise their potential to contribute to the advancement of humanity.
Even though Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi is a prominent figure in the world of culture in the GCC, her influence now extends far beyond the region. Sheikha Bodour has said that her passion is inspired by her father, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.
The book will be available for purchase in both Arabic and English at the House of Wisdom bookstore and on the Kalimat website.
