The youngest Arab Minister of Interior is set to be married this weekend
It’s a busy week for the household of Al Thani of Qatar. After kicking off the week with a state visit to the UK, the ruling family is wrapping up the week with a royal wedding.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani is set to wed Sheikha Fatima Bint Nasser Bin Hassan Al Thani this weekend.
After months of rumours regarding his engagement and his wedding dates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani has confirmed the happy news himself.
Yesterday, at Ghanim Bin Sultan Al Ghanim’s wedding in Doha, the 33-year-old royal playfully teased the guests, claiming his own wedding would follow in two days.
The celebrations for the wedding of Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikha Fatima are set to begin on Friday, 6th December, at Al-Wajba Palace, where HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser will host a dinner banquet.
The event is expected to welcome high-profile figures and royals from around the world, including HM Queen Rania, Türkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdogan, Princess Lalla Hasnaa, and Jill Biden, the US First Lady, who will also be in Qatar for the Web Summit.
The men’s celebrations will take place on 7th December, with the couple marking their nuptials at Al-Wajba Citadel, the oldest citadel in Qatar. Additionally, it has been reported that HH Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad Al Thani, the wife of the Emir of Qatar, will host a banquet for the guests.
The bride-to-be, Sheikha Fatima, is the daughter of Sheikh Nasser bin Hassan Al Thani, known for his role as the president of Al Wakrah SC. Very little information has been shared about Sheikha Fatima, as she values her private life.
