Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United States, and Her Excellency Sheikha Al Zein Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump, which took place yesterday at the US Capitol in Washington.
The event was attended by US politicians, world leaders, and prominent tech giants, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Tim Cook.
HRH Princess Reema who was appointed as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States of America by King Salman bin Abdelaziz in July 2019, was the first woman to ever serve in the role. At the time of her appointment, President Trump held the office during his first term, and now six years later, he has returned to office as the 47th president of the United States of America.
The princess took to social media to share photos from the inauguration, “As our two nations celebrate 80 years of friendship, it was my honour to convey our leadership’s heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to President Donald Trump and the American people on his inauguration,” she captioned the post. “The relationship between our two countries is historic and we look forward to continuing our work together for the benefit of both our peoples, our region, and the world.”
Sheikha Al Zain Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States and a member of the Kuwaiti royal family shared snaps from the inauguration on her Instagram stories. Sheikha Al Zain has held her post since her appointment in 2023
