My passion? It’s actually the thrill of building something out of nothing – taking an idea that feels almost intangible and turning it into something impactful. I didn’t have an ‘aha’ moment – it was more like a series of small revelations. Every time I’d create something that solved a problem or filled a gap, I felt an undeniable drive to keep going. It wasn’t just about the tech or the business model – it was about that spark you get when you realise you’re on to something that could change, inspire others, even in the smallest way. I found this passion by simply following my curiosity, questioning why things are the way they are, and not waiting for permission to change them.
Being an Emirati has ingrained in me a deep respect for tradition, resilience, and progress. My country’s rapid transformation to becoming a global hub for technology and entrepreneurship have inspired me to think big and aspire to make a global impact. It has also instilled in me the importance of giving back to my community and contributing to the nation’s vision, pushing me to think globally while staying rooted in Emirati principles.
Growing up in a nation where ‘impossible’ is not part of our vocabulary, I’ve been inspired by our visionary leaders who challenge norms and encourage us to dream bigger. The UAE provides a unique ecosystem that blends resources, opportunity while respecting our cultural identity.
I believe in the importance of mentorship and creating opportunities for young people. Through Unipreneur Inc., I’ve been able to provide young entrepreneurs with a platform to develop their ideas, connect with industry experts, and build valuable networks. Additionally, I actively engage in mentorship programmes and speak at events to inspire others. I want young women to know that they have a place in tech and entrepreneurship and that their dreams are achievable.
That the journey is as important as the destination. In entrepreneurship, there are always highs and lows. I’ve realised that every challenge teaches you something valuable and that resilience is key. I also wish I’d understood the importance of building strong relationships and networks sooner – they’re as crucial as any skill or talent in this field.
My next challenge is to delve deeper into the world of global diplomacy and international relations. I want to bridge my experience in entrepreneurship with the broader field of diplomacy to influence policies that foster innovation and economic growth globally.
I am particularly interested in advocating for policies that support entrepreneurs and businesses.
I aspire to represent my culture by highlighting our unique blend of traditions and innovative thinking. The UAE stands as a testament to resilience and innovation, proving that a nation can stick to its roots while embracing progress.
In my work, I strive to reflect this balance, showing the world that Emiratis are deeply rooted in their heritage yet actively shaping the future. I aim to be a bridge between cultures, fostering mutual respect and collaboration to create a world that celebrates diversity and shared growth.
