How Princess Haifa bint Mohammed Al Saud is the architect of the Kingdom’s tourism transformation

HH Princess Haifa was celebrated at the Her Influence exhibition at Expo 2025 Osaka, a showcase honouring the inspiring Saudi women shaping the Kingdom’s cultural and professional landscape. Dressed in an elegant Cape kaftan and an embellished kaftan by Saudi designer Mona Al Shebil, her portraits were displayed alongside those of pioneering female figures, in a powerful tribute to women, promoting cultural dialogue and spotlighting the achievements of Saudi women on the global stage

The princess took to Instagram, writing: “Behind every beautiful moment, there are people who work from the heart. A big thank you to the Saudi Arabia Expo 2025 team at the Ministry of Culture for their thoughtful work and uplifting details. Proud to have been part of Her Influence.”

Known for her energy and passion, Princess Haifa Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Vice Minister of Tourism, is a driving force in Saudi Arabia’s tourism scene, whether taking the wheel at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, spotlighting the nation’s finest destinations, or touring its most captivating attractions. She has been instrumental in delivering sector transformation through sustainability advocacy, dedication to youth and local community empowerment, and special attention to sector recovery, investment, and innovation.

Who is Princess Haifa bint Mohammed Al Saud?

Born to Prince Mohammed bin Saud Al Saud and Princess Hala bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Princess Haifa is also the great-granddaughter of the late King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. After completing her early education, she moved to Connecticut, USA, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven in 2008. Nearly a decade later, she refined her expertise with a master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the London Business School.

In recognition of her influence and leadership, the princess was named a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders class of 2023.

She began her career at HSBC Holdings as an analyst before rising to senior associate in equity sales. In 2012, she transitioned to the Ministry of Higher Education as a senior consultant. Between 2017 and 2019, she served as Managing Director of the General Sports Authority, focusing on developing the sports economy, and in July 2018, she took on the role of Secretary-General of Formula E Holdings, a position she continues to hold today.

Today, Princess Haifa stands at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s tourism transformation. With a vision as bold as the ministry she leads, she is reshaping the kingdom’s global identity, from the rise of exclusive Red Sea resorts that merge luxury with heritage, to positioning Saudi Arabia as a powerhouse for world-class sporting events, including the adrenaline-charged Formula E. Her approach is not just strategic; it is deeply transformative, weaving innovation, culture, and ambition into a narrative the world is now watching.
