Mauzan’s Chapter 39 Brings Fashion and Art Together

For Autumn/Winter 2026, Mauzan brings fashion and art together with Chapter 39, a collection that explores movement, craftsmanship and the relationship between heritage and contemporary design.

The collection is presented alongside bespoke artwork created exclusively for Mauzan by renowned artist Dr. Azra. Mirroring the organic lines and abstract forms found throughout the clothes, the artwork becomes an extension of the collection itself, creating a connection between the garments and their surroundings.

“Art has always been an important part of how we see and understand design at Mauzan”, says founder Rafia Helal Bin Draj. “Working with Dr. Azra allowed us to explore our heritage through a different perspective, translating the spirit of traditional art into something contemporary and unexpected.

That approach can be seen throughout Chapter 39. Organic lines, abstract shapes and asymmetrical patterns take inspiration from the movement found in nature, while curved forms and carefully balanced colour palettes bring a sense of ease to each look.

The silhouettes are relaxed and fluid, designed to move naturally with the body. French lace, abstract brocades, silk velvet and lamé appliqué add texture and dimension, while muted tones and thoughtful colour placements allow the details to stand out without overwhelming the design.

For Dr.Azra, the collaborations also reflect the way tradition continues to evolve alongside Dubai. “Traditional art forms connect with the soul of a country.” she explains. “My collaboration with Mauzan reflects that same spirit of evolution, where heritage and creativity come together in new ways.”

Balancing experimentation with elegance, Chapter 39 marks another step in Mauzan’s evolving design story, bringing together art, craftsmanship and heritage in a collection that feels both contemporary and timeless.
