Cartier has unveiled a new signature style, the Clash de Cartier bag; the name and the design draw inspiration from the Maison’s stylistic and mechanical vocabulary. A true fashion companion, the bag is designed to be carried effortlessly by hand, on the arm, or over the shoulder, remaining endlessly discreet yet chic. 

The bag features a jewellery clasp, opening and closing with a twist of the stud in a clean and sharp design. The design puts intricate jewellery detailing and high-quality leather at the forefront, reinforcing Cartier’s tradition of excellent leather craftsmanship rooted in the use of refined materials. Made from fine leather with a natural grain and a subtle, tactile finish, the bag is sure to develop an elegant patina over time. 

The bag, crafted in Cartier’s workshops in Florence, comes in three statement colours, black, caramel and Cartier’s iconic burgundy, first introduced in the 1970s with the Must de Cartier collection. 

“The aesthetic of this bag is driven by the purity of its lines. We took inspiration from an envelope to design an elegant, sleek fastening system that subtly defines the shape of the bag on either side of the handle. It can be left open for a loose, casual fit or fastened with a turn of the stud for a more tailored, structured look,” says Marlin Yuson, Creative Director of Accessories and Leather Goods.
