How to Celebrate Emirati Women’s Day 2026

Each year, Emirati Women’s Day offers a moment to take stock of just how much Emirati women have achieved, while celebrating the remarkable women whose contributions continue to shape every sphere of life.

Established in 2015 under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the occasion shines a light on the pivotal role women continue to play in shaping the UAE, while honouring the women whose talent, ambition, and vision are helping define its future. This year, for the first time ever, Emirati Women’s Day will be celebrated for an entire month from the 28th August to 28th September 2026.

The occasion is also a chance to celebrate, recharge and embrace a renewed sense of confidence. From meaningful experiences to moments of self-care, here’s how to make the most of Emirati Women’s Day.

Spend The Day With Friends

Because every celebration is better shared. Gather your closest friends and make a day of it, from a little shopping and a leisurely lunch to an afternoon by the sea. For a more indulgent escape, Al Zorah Beach Resort invites groups of up to six women to its private Villa Wellness Sanctuary, complete with a poolside garden villa, sound-healing session and massage. In Dubai, Carine at Emirates Golf Club is marking the occasion with its signature Pistachio Tiramisu, with a complimentary dessert offered at lunch on 28 August. Or, head to Oceana Restaurant at Millennium Al Rawdah Hotel in Abu Dhabi for a seafood dinner featuring Emirati specialities.

Discover the UAE’s Rich Heritage

Discover the UAE through the women whose stories helped shape it. From museums celebrating their achievements to cultural spaces preserving their legacy, spend the day exploring the places that bring Emirati women’s history to life.

Begin with the “Women of the Nation” Tour at Zayed National Museum, an exclusive experience spotlighting the historic role of Emirati women in building the UAE. Then, make your way to the Women’s Pavilion at Expo City to explore exhibitions celebrating their achievements and inspiring journeys. For another perspective, visit Bait Al Banat (The Girls’ House) at the Women’s Museum in Dubai, where the stories and accomplishments of Emirati women take centre stage.

Try Something New

Step outside your usual routine and try something you have never experienced before. Sign up for a creative workshop, from floral arrangements to hands-on craft sessions, and discover the joy of making something entirely your own. At Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, Episodes will host three days of complimentary workshops from 28 to 30 August. The programme begins with an oud and fragrance-layering experience by Hind Al Oud, followed by floral arrangement sessions presented by Reine de Roses.

Take a Moment to Reset and Reconnect

What better way to honour Emirati Women’s Day than with a little time dedicated entirely to yourself? At Talise Spa, Madinat Jumeirah, UAE residents can enjoy 30 per cent off selected retail products throughout August, while qualifying 90-minute facials come with a complimentary second treatment to share with a companion. At Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, choose between two wellness rituals for two, each paired with a Moroccan afternoon tea, available from 24 August through September. Or head to Waldorf Astoria DIFC for a 30-minute tension-relief massage followed by cream tea at Peacock Alley—the perfect pause from the everyday.
