Among countless resolutions, celebrations and excitement for the new year, I believe in taking a moment to look back, reflect and above all, be grateful for everything in life. After the past decade allowed me the opportunity to study and work, grow my online family, create my own beauty brand, and work with some of the top names internationally, I surely am counting my blessings and learning to trust the process.

The new decade for me is all about taking things in my stride. Whether you’re dealing with health or sickness, happiness or despair, take one day at a time and things will fall into place. Juggling my several hats and trying to achieve the best in everything, I’ve learnt that it’s easy to push yourself back on track every day if you stay put.

A concept that has grown in significance over the past years is positivity. It took me a while to embrace it, but I did my research. Positivity takes time and conscious effort. Once you make up your mind that your life will be positive, you must actively try to create it. It’s important to trust the process, to take in and feel the good and the bad, knowing that no matter what, you’re headed for the place that you’re meant to be in.
And you know what? It’s easy to lose hope and overthink when things don’t go to plan, and I always feel it’s somewhat human nature to do that. But it’s important to have faith that things do always work out for the better. Once I realized this, I found my secret to positivity.
‘Responsibility’ is another word that took new meaning for me. The key here is to take control of your own thinking. This has been the secret behind the success of many great minds. To know that every action has an impact, every word means something and eventually all that you do adds up, has given me immense insight into the power of thinking. I have a massive audience that follows me and to understand the level of responsibility that comes with it was life-changing for me.
I now surround myself with quality people, who really add to my life. I like to engage in conversations that are crafted with love. Remember, one small word can make all the difference. In the end, I’d like to leave you all with this: we only live once and it’s important to make every day count.
Love,
Rawan
