Last year, The Bicester Collection’s Unlock Her Future Prize awarded four inspiring female entrepreneurs from the MENA region. Founded by the Do Good with The Bicester Collection initiative, the prize was created to empower female entrepreneurs with their startups.
The first edition, which took place in 2023, attracted a staggering 850 applications. From this pool, four remarkable women emerged victorious:
Championing Women’s Health: Noor Jaber, founder of Lebanon’s NAWAT Health, tackles the critical issue of accessible and confidential reproductive healthcare information, through a digital space in Arabic.
Combating Plastic Pollution: Sara Llalla, through EcoCentric (operating in Iraq and UAE), disrupts the cycle of plastic waste with an online marketplace promoting a circular economy.
Building a Sustainable Future: Fella Bouti’s EcoTashira offers eco-friendly construction solutions in Algeria that improve air quality and urban temperature in major cities.
Ethical Fashion Revolution: Nuhayr Zein’s Leukeather introduces a sustainable and ethical alternative to leather in the UAE, using plant pods as a low-carbon footprint material that empowers agricultural communities.
