Egyptian Brand Okhtein Has Received A Major International Investment

As Egyptian brand Okhtein continues to position itself as a global force in the fashion landscape, it has partnered with investment company Bidayat to fuel its growth.

Founded by Valentino board chairman and Egypt’s former minister of trade and industry, Rachid Mohamed Rachid, the organization will provide funding, operational support, and access to an international network of industry experts to Okhtein, according to Business of Fashion.

Championing creative talent and young entrepreneurs from the Mediterranean Basin, Bidayat will support Okhtein in opening more stores, expanding global distribution, developing a more diverse range of products, and building it out on the digital front.

Okhtein, which means ‘sisters’ in Arabic was founded by real-life sisters Mounaz and Aya Abdel Raouf in 2014 and has since emerged to the fore as the fashion circuit’s brand of choice, with celebrity fans including Gigi Hadid, Beyoncé, Emma Watson and Cardi B.
