Now that submissions have closed, we’ll soon be announcing the results of the competition. We’re as excited as you are.

Envisioned by Sheikha Shaikha bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, the founder of SMK Tennis, the competition offered a chance to give us and our prestigious judging panel a look into your world of creativity. Read on to find out what’s up for grabs if you win.

You could win AED30,000

Yes, that’s one of the many rewards on offer. The idea is to encourage you and nurture your art and design knowhow, urging you to innovate, create and inspire your community.

Your designs are being viewed by industry icons

Have you met our judges yet? Your designs are being reviewed by some of the most influential figures in the Emirati creative community, designer Aljoud Lootah, and artists Mattar Bin Lahej and Ashwaq Abdulla.

Aljoud was commissioned to create the official gift that was presented to Pope Francis on his visit to the UAE last year. Her creations have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, making her the first Emirati designer to have work attained by an international gallery.

The creative force behind projects such as Dubai’s Museum of the Future, Mattar is the founder of Marsam Mattar, the first Emirati institute created to mentor artists and emerging talent. His message to you all is to be brave, think outside the box and let your creativity flow.

Last year, Ashwaq became the first local artist to design the official trophy for the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic in California, USA, the world’s longest-running women’s-only professional tennis tournament. She also designed the trophy for the 2019 Mubadala World Tennis.
