Paris Fashion Week SS27: The Weekend Shows We Loved

The weekend runways at Paris Fashion Week were dynamic, expressive, and full of imagination. From sculpted silhouettes and fluid draping to sheer layers, vibrant colour and intricate embellishments, the collections moved between everyday ease and feminine fantasies.

Here are our favourites from the weekend.

    Georges Hobeika

Georges Hobeika’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection moves through the full spectrum of femininity, opening with darker, structured looks that carry a masculine energy before transforming into softer, fluid drapes, transparent layers, and liquid-like silhouettes.

The shift from strength to sensuality explores the female identity without defining it around a single theme. Reworked floral embroideries across unexpected surfaces, deer-motif earrings, cufflinks, and bags add a soft yet powerful touch to the final looks.

    Elie Saab

With soft, fluid silhouettes in pastels and translucent layers, Elie Saab’s SS27 collection was nothing less than a painted dream. Slim columns, draped dresses, and delicate sheer pieces were adorned with glittering beads, pewter braids, and gauzy floral details, creating a garden-like feel from the opening looks.

Lime chiffon dresses, nude drapings, trompe-l’œil embroidery, shimmering hair adornments, and sculpted floral motifs brought contrast and an added sense of fantasy.

    Valentino

Valentino’s SS27 collection, “Antibiblioteca”, started with jewel-toned satin corsets paired with contrasting pencil skirts with lace and feather-trimmed hems. Creative Director Alessandro Michele played with clashing colour combinations such as cobalt blue, hot pink, lime, lavender, and marigold. Chunky jewellery, tinted sunglasses, embellished bags, and statement belts added a playful, urban edge to the looks.

As the runway unfolded, the silhouettes became more sculptural and dramatic. Shoulders became sharper, with floral volumes, ostrich feathers, and sculptural fan pleats added to the collection’s theatrical mood. The runway closed with glamorous floor-length gowns with contrasting trains and black bows at the back.

    Loewe

Loewe’s SS27 runway began with softened American sportswear with relaxed jackets, polo-inspired tops, relaxed trousers, and skirts in bold colour blocks. The silhouettes moved between easy, athletic shapes and more structural forms, with splayed waists and peplum volumes allowing movement.

As the collection progressed, the looks became more feminine and decorative, with sheer dresses, fluid, airy fabrics, and delicate skirts. Intricate beading, floral embellishment, colour-blocked leather and statement shoes finished the wardrobe, blending practicality with Baroque drama.

    Mugler

For the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Creative Director Miguel Castro Freitas pushed the house’s femme fatale codes into a high-impact wardrobe. The runway began with body-conscious silhouettes, sculpted tailoring, and sharp shoulders before moving into floor-length mesh dresses, feathered collars, and beaded fringe dresses.

While the silhouettes stayed close to the body, the looks did not lack drama as corsetry, bralettes, sleek trousers, and angular headpieces appeared across the collection. Animal prints, flashes of electric blue, moss green, and pink brought fun. The collection closed with a lavender gown with a long, dramatic feather train.

    Hermès

The Hermès Spring/Summer 2027 collection opened with a mix of sheer knits and lightweight leather. While the silhouettes were cut close to the body, they were still relaxed with bandeau openings, open layers, wide-leg trousers, and simple column dresses.

Across the collections, leather skirts and dresses featured thigh-high slits, perforations, and zips that altered the length between mini and midi. The vibrant colour palette of yellow, orange and red was grounded by brown and black bases.

    Alaïa

Celebrating the relationship between cloth and skin, Alaïa’s SS27 Paris runway collection centred on body-conscious silhouettes that elevate the female form. Across the collection, sculpted curves and flowy fabrics created a sense of movement and continuity.

The collection develops with jersey twists, leather and knitted pleats, and voluminous layered skirts shaping each look. The silhouettes were complete with sharply pointed heels and expressive jewellery, balancing sensuality with structure.
