Princess Sara’s choice of British couturier Bruce Oldfield was a nod to family history, marking four decades of ties between the designer and the Jordanian royal family.
In the presence of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the wedding ceremony of Her Royal Highness Princess Sara bint Faisal and Mr Ali Murabit Al Sawaf took place on Wednesday, September 30th, at Zahran Palace.
Straight out of a fairy tale, Princess Sara bint Faisal made her way down the aisle on the arm of her father, HRH Prince Faisal, while her twin sister, Princess Aisha, followed behind, delicately carrying the train of her gown.

The ceremony took place at the historic Zahran Palace in Amman, a venue that has hosted some of Jordan’s most memorable royal weddings, including that of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa in 2023. It was also the very same palace where Princess Sara’s sisters, Princess Aya and Princess Aisha, were married.

The royal family gathered to celebrate Princess Sara on her special day, including King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Princess Muna Al Hussein, her parents, Prince Faisal and Princess Alia, and her sisters, Princess Aya and Princess Aisha.

For the occasion, Princess Sara was a vision in a romantic bespoke gown by Bruce Oldfield, brought to life by Sophie Rowe and her talented team. The choice of Bruce Oldfield held a special meaning for the bride and the royal family, as the designer also created her mother Princess Alia’s bridal look in 1987. Decades later, he was once again the designer of choice for her eldest sister, Princess Aya, in 2014. Bruce Oldfield was also behind Queen Rania’s iconic wedding gown for her marriage to King Abdullah II.

The bride was a vision in a timeless A-line ivory gown designed by Oldfield, featuring delicate layers of tulle meticulously hand-embroidered with thousands of tiny baby roses.

The gown featured a classic boat neckline that extended into elegant short sleeves, while a beautifully defined, cinched waist structured the bodice before flowing into a sweeping, floor-length A-line skirt. At the back, the gown gracefully extended into a spectacular long train that trailed behind her as she walked.

The bride completed her look with a sentimental flower diamond tiara, which carries a special history within the family. The tiara was first given by her mother to her eldest sister, Princess Aya, for her wedding in 2014, before being passed on to her twin sister, Princess Aisha, for her wedding in 2025. For her own wedding, Princess Sara wore the same treasured tiara, offering a closer look at its delicate floral design, with each diamond-set flower centred by a pearl.

She paired the heirloom tiara with dazzling diamond earrings, each ending in a delicate pearl, beautifully complementing the details of her bridal look. Wearing her hair swept up in an elegant updo, Princess Sara radiated bridal elegance as she walked down the aisle.

Following the Kitb El Kitab ceremony, the wedding reception was held at the Ceremonial Grounds, Al Raya Square, where the newlyweds continued the celebrations surrounded by their family, friends and loved ones.
