The 83rd Venice Film Festival has officially kicked off at Palazzo del Cinema, setting the stage for some high-fashion drama with silk gowns and masterful tailoring. From Kendell Jenner bringing archival Giorgio Armani to Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s iconic pantsuit, the red carpet at Lido showcased undisputed cinematic glamour.

Chase Sui Wonders in Giorgio Armani & Tiffany & Co.

Bringing a modern edge to classic black-tie dressing, Chase Sui Wonders arrived at the red carpet wearing an elegant black cut-out dress from Giorgio Armani, featuring sparkling bead-panelled detailing along its V-neck and waist. She paired the look with a black silk choker with a Tiffany & Co. brooch pinned to it and statement rings, with baby bangs and a slick-back top knot, adding a fresh glam to the look. 

Kendall Jenner in Giorgio Armani

Arriving on Day 2 for the premiere of Wild Horse Nine, Kendall Jenner chose a vintage archival Giorgio Armani. The ankle-length slip dress featured intricate floral embroidery and metallic gold and bronze beadwork. She skipped heavy jewellery and instead opted for subtle diamond drop earrings from Briony Raymond and nude heels. With soft, wavy hair and minimalist makeup, she brought an understated elegance to the red carpet.

High jewellery also took centre stage at the red carpet, as Laura Dern’s statement necklace anchors her look. The vibrant Cartier necklace is set with pink gemstones and diamonds that perfectly complement her light pink dress. She paired the necklace with a matching diamond-set earring. 

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Celine & Bvlgari

Serving as the Jury President at the Venice Film Festival, Maggie Gyllenhaal brought quiet sophistication to the red carpet. She wore a floor-length black gown from Celine featuring off-the-shoulder drape detailing that adds a sculptural feel to the look. For jewellery, she chose a statement Bvlgari High Jewellery Serpenti Necklace in pink gold, with onyx and diamonds. She styled her brunette bob in soft vintage curls with minimal makeup.  

Mariana Di Girolamo in Chanel

Attending the Wild Horse Nine premiere, Mariana Di Girolamo wore a custom white Chanel couture. The dress featured a draped off-shoulder detailing and a drop-waist lace skirt. She paired the dress with a delicate collar necklace and stud earrings along with elegant white pumps. A sleek bun and minimal makeup completed the look. 

Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Celine

Actor and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge swapped traditional gowns for an effortlessly cool tailored ensemble from Celine. The black and white pantsuit featured high-waisted tailored black trousers paired with an ivory silk blouse with a floor-length cape. Staying true to her style, she paired the look with black oval sunglasses, complete with side-parted curls. 

Mariacarla Boscono in Chanel

The Italian model and actress stole the show at the Venice red carpet with her Chanel Newspaper gown from its RE27 collection. The V-neck ballgown featured a cinched bodice and a voluminous skirt anchored by a 3D camellia with feathers. She paired the look with a diamond collar necklace and minimalist rings. The edgy ensemble was complete with loosely styled hair.
