Having led the UAE delegation at Davos 2026 earlier this year, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed arrives in Stockholm this week for her first official diplomatic visit.
Marking the start of the visit, the Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sheikha Latifa, met with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, where the two royals discussed the growing ties between the UAE and Sweden. Their meeting explored opportunities to deepen cooperation and exchange expertise across key sectors, further supporting sustainable development and shared prosperity between the two nations.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed met with senior officials from Sweden’s Ministry of Health and Social Affairs as part of her official visit, focused on strengthening bilateral partnerships and exchanging expertise in healthcare, social welfare, and integrated care.
During the meeting, discussions centred on advancing sustainable and resilient healthcare systems, enhancing social welfare frameworks, and exploring innovative approaches to improving quality of life. Emphasising the importance of investing in people’s well-being as a foundation for future prosperity, both sides exchanged views on proactive policies and collaborative opportunities that can help build healthier, more inclusive communities.
The visit marks a significant milestone for Sheikha Latifa, elevating her role from a city-focused cultural leader to a prominent diplomatic figure representing the UAE on the global stage.
According to the Dubai Media Office, the visit is designed to deepen bilateral ties, encourage knowledge exchange, and unlock new opportunities for collaboration across strategic sectors shaping the future.
