Art Events Still to Come in the UAE in 2026

From global art debuts to regional creative showcases, add these to your cultural calendar

While several major art events in the UAE have adjusted their schedules this year in response to the ongoing situation in the region, the shift has created a cultural calendar that stretches further into the year. From international art fairs and museum exhibitions to immersive public art festivals, there is still plenty to look forward to. Here are some of the major art events still to come in 2026

Frieze Abu Dhabi

November 2026 | Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Art enters a new chapter this year as Frieze Abu Dhabi. The transformation marks the first Middle Eastern edition of the internationally renowned art fair and further strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a global arts destination. Taking place at Manarat Al Saadiyat, the event will bring together leading galleries, collectors, curators and artists from around the world. As part of the prestigious Frieze network, the fair is expected to attract significant international attention while continuing to champion artists and galleries from the region.

Louvre Abu Dhabi: Art Here 2026

11 November 2026 – 28 February 2027 | Louvre Abu Dhabi

Returning for its sixth edition, Art Here 2026 and the Richard Mille Art Prize will once again take over Louvre Abu Dhabi’s iconic outdoor spaces beneath Jean Nouvel’s celebrated dome. Curated by Kamini Sawhney, this year’s exhibition explores the theme of “Confluences”, examining the cultural exchanges, migrations and shared histories that have shaped communities around the Indian Ocean. Bringing together contemporary artists from across the region, the exhibition has become one of the museum’s most anticipated annual programmes.

World Art Dubai

19–22 November 2026 | Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai

One of the region’s most accessible and popular art fairs, World Art Dubai returns this November with a new home at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. Bringing together more than 400 local and international exhibitors, the fair offers thousands of artworks ranging from emerging talent to established names, with pieces available at a variety of price points. Originally scheduled for April, the move to November reflects the event’s ambition to evolve into a larger festival-style experience. Visitors can expect indoor and outdoor installations, live activations, interactive programming and expanded opportunities for artists and galleries.

Sharjah Art Foundation

Throughout 2026 | Sharjah and Kalba

Sharjah Art Foundation continues its extensive year-round programme with exhibitions and events taking place across its venues in Sharjah and Kalba. Highlights include Vantage Point 13, the foundation’s long-running photography platform, which returns from August through November. Visitors can also explore Image Keepers: Photographic Works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection, which examines photography as archive, evidence and social record, alongside Of Land and Water: Works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection at Kalba Ice Factory. Looking ahead, much of the foundation’s programming also sets the stage for the highly anticipated Sharjah Biennial 17, opening in January 2027.

Bluewaters Art Festival

Q4 2026 | Bluewaters Island, Dubai

Following a successful debut in 2025, Bluewaters Art Festival will return for its second edition later this year. Although originally scheduled for April, organisers have confirmed the event will now take place during the fourth quarter of 2026. Last year’s festival transformed Bluewaters Island into a vibrant open-air gallery featuring murals, installations, live performances and workshops. The upcoming edition is expected to build on that success with immersive activations, large-scale public artworks and contributions from both international and regional artists.
