Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation and lifelong advocate for education, visited the 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair yesterday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
The royal, known for her stylish fashion choices, opted for a grey flowing dress with a black abaya, making a statement with a striking double-row pearl necklace and a teardrop-shaped pendant that caught the light beautifully paired with an exotic archival Bottega Veneta Crocodile Accordion Flap Shoulder Bag in black.

This year’s edition is widely considered the largest in the fair’s entire history, running from 14th to 23rd May 2026. It also marks a turning point — for the first time, a local initiative, the This is Qatar Book project, takes centre stage as the official guest of honour, moving away from the tradition of spotlighting foreign nations to celebrate Qatar’s own heritage and cultural identity.

During her visit, Her Highness toured a number of pavilions representing government entities, cultural institutions, and Arabic and international publishing houses, personally selecting several titles along the way.

Her granddaughters were spending time at the children’s literature pavilions, which have steadily evolved into the fair’s most visited destination, where they also took part as volunteers.
