Exploring AlUla: Here’s All You Need To Know About The Heritage Site

The AlUla heritage site in Saudi Arabia is akin to an outdoor museum. Filled with rock formations, canyons and cliffs, it’s a visual treat and a delight for the history lover in you. Here are a few essential spots and activities at the location that you must explore this winter.

Wadi Al Fann

Spanning 65 square kilometres, Wadi Al Fann is a sprawling desert and a natural, historical and cultural wonder in AlUla. It’s regarded as a major milestone in the Cultural Manifesto of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) under the vision of His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Chairman of the Royal Commission for AlUla.

The Hegra Archaeological Site is the first World Heritage property to be inscribed in Saudi Arabia. Today, Hegra is best known for having more than 100 monumental tombs carved from rock formations.

Old Town
