Flavio Lucchini is known for launching numerous prominent fashion publications. Drawing inspiration from his longstanding work with magazines, Lucchini continues to converge the worlds of fashion and art with his latest exhibition at Dubai’s Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery.
Titled ‘Fashion to Art: the Vogue Lesson’, the exhibition features classic and unpublished works by Flavio, all exquisite meditations on his professional journey via mediums such as digital art, paintings and sculptures in materials including bronze resin and steel. “I move from classicism and new pop, in a sort of direct line between Canova and Jeff Koons. I’m interested in mystery, the magic of fashion, to glorify it and at the same time to desecrate it,” Flavio said in a statement.
