It’s true. A former Etihad jet that once flew passengers around the world from Abu Dhabi now offers an on-ground getaway. According to The National, Campground operator Toby Rhys-Davies forked out £45,000 (Dh205,000) for the Airbus from a scrapyard in Cardiff, Wales, and turned the main part of the plane into a £179-a-night holiday home for four people.
In the rear section, the original kitchen of the plane still stands, with overhead luggage compartments, windows and emergency exits still intact to summon up the feel of an aircraft. The seats have been stripped out to make space for beds, chairs and a hot shower. Can you believe it? Why don’t you experience it for yourself.
