The Arab Fashion Council has rolled out the ninth edition of Arab Fashion Week in collaboration with City Walk, and the six-day event that runs from 9-14 October promises a diverse line-up of over 40 regional and international designers from the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Among the highlights of the event are fashion shows, pop-ups, presentations and trunk shows that will take place at 1422, which is known to be the world’s first ready couture store and the region’s first-ever designer acceleration hub at City Walk. Designers Dhruv Kapoor, Hussein Bazaza, Rami Kadi and Nora Al Shaikh are among the headline acts.

What’s more? Arab Fashion Council will shine the spotlight on the AFC Green Label initiative, in line with the United Nations Global Sustainable Goals, which is a part of the Arab Fashion Week festival. The aim of AFC Green Label is to promote an eco-conscious approach to the environment by sourcing ethical materials.
Arab Fashion Week is the first platform in the region to have introduced the See-now, Buy-now concept to the runway, and will bring back the concept this season with its traditional trunk shows. “We don’t sit and watch, but we create the desire. Together with our multinational partners, we create the need for the luxury market,” Mohammed Aqra, the Arab Fashion Council’s head of partnership, said in a release.
