Paying homage to its 270 years of experience in watchmaking, Vacheron Constantin has released eight limited editions within its Patrimony and Traditionnelle collections. Each honours the Swiss brand’s historical craftsmanship and pairs it with the cutting-edge horology of today.
There are limited numbers of the anniversary models, and each watch has been designed to reflect the brand’s enduring innovation — a trait that has defined the maison since its inception in 1755.
A hallmark complication that has been long associated with the Maison, the retrograde display has defined Vacheron Constantin’s technical and aesthetic identity since as early as the 18th century. On the new Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date, this feature takes centre stage on the upper half of the dial, where blue numerals and a blued gold openworked hand with an arrow tip mark the date with precision.
The domed, silver-toned dial is adorned with the commemorative 270th-anniversary motif. Encased in refined 42.5 mm white or pink gold, with a slim profile of just 9.7 mm, each piece is powered by a self-winding movement which is visible through the caseback and features an openworked gold rotor.
To further commemorate this historic milestone, Vacheron Constantin has introduced three Traditionnelle Openface limited editions, each revealing the intricate mechanics beneath their artfully designed dials.
The Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Retrograde Date Openface has debuted with the new Calibre 2460 QPR31/270 — the only movement of its kind to offer a retrograde perpetual calendar, fully functional until the year 2100, paired with an ultra-precise moon-phase display requiring minimal manual intervention.
The Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface is equipped with the Calibre 2162 R31/270, where a captivating tourbillon at six o’clock harmonises with a retrograde date indication, exemplifying technical prowess and aesthetic harmony.
Rounding out the collection, the Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Openface is powered by the Calibre 2460 QCL/270 and features a triple calendar complication alongside an astronomically precise moon phase.
Each timepiece is housed in a refined platinum case, paired with a classic alligator leather strap and an 18K gold half Maltese Cross buckle — a seamless fusion of legacy and modernity. One that captures the spirit of Vacheron Constantin’s unique 270-year journey.
