Ghanim Al-Sulaiti is at the forefront of sustainable innovation in Qatar. Over the past few years, he has made a significant impact on the region by establishing a series of successful ventures that both champion eco-friendly practices and promote a plant-based lifestyle. These range from vegan restaurants to an eco-conscious packaging factory and a skincare brand that only uses natural organic ingredients.
All of his efforts are driven by a commitment to inspire people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and a deep desire to look after the planet.
“When I first started learning about veganism, it wasn’t just about food; it was about living with purpose,” Ghanim reflects. “I realised that every choice we make has an impact. My goal has always been to share what I’ve learned with others — not to preach, but to show that small changes can lead to a big difference, both for our health and for the world around us.”
Spending time with the entrepreneur, you instantly feel his warm and welcoming demeanour. I first met him in 2015 in Qatar and, since then, I have been following the success of his ventures. When he talks about his projects, his enthusiasm is palpable. It’s also clear his motivation extends beyond just creating a more sustainable world for himself. The Qatari is dedicated to sharing his knowledge with others.
His focus on reducing carbon footprint and prioritising sustainability shines through in all his projects. “Veganism and sustainability are interconnected for me,” the businessman says. “They are about doing what’s right, even when it’s not always the easiest path. If I can share the knowledge and inspire even a few people to live more consciously, that’s progress.”
Evergreen Organics, the first of its kind in the region, has become a beacon for health-conscious food lovers in Qatar. With health and wellness as a central pillar, the brand earned a prestigious partnership with Qatar Airways, providing fresh, organic pressed juices to all its business-class passengers. These carefully crafted beverages, which include a range of immunity-boosting elixirs, elevate the in-flight experience while reinforcing a shared commitment to wellness and sustainability, extending the café’s mission from the ground to 30,000 feet in the air.
“Evergreen Organics was born out of my personal journey with health and wellness,” Ghanim says. “I didn’t always have the best relationship with food. Over time, I realised what we eat influences how we feel. For me, wellness isn’t just about eating plant-based – it’s about living in a way that nourishes both body and mind.”
“Evergreen represents that balance, a place where people can reconnect with themselves and with the power of food to heal,” he adds.
Having already made a significant impact on Qatar’s food scene, he has further plans to reshape the plant-based and sustainable sector. Enbat Holdings, the umbrella group for Ghanim’s ventures, has several revolutionary projects in the pipeline. Reducing environmental impact is a major focus, including the introduction of a waste-composting initiative across all of their cafés and restaurants.
Additionally, Enbat Holdings is developing an urban farm that will provide fresh, locally sourced vegetables year-round, ensuring Ghanim’s establishments have access to the freshest and most sustainable ingredients. This move showcases his commitment to cover all grounds in his pursuit to foster a positive impact on the country and world.
“For me, sustainability isn’t just about big changes — it’s about the small, everyday actions that make a difference,” he says. “Composting might seem like a small step, but when you look at the bigger picture, it’s about creating a mindset. It reminds us to be thoughtful with our resources and to respect the natural cycle. It’s our way of contributing to sustainability on a practical level every day.”
Adding to his diverse portfolio, the entrepreneur launched a beauty brand, aptly named Botany. In the early stages of the venture, Ghanim travelled far and wide on a quest to uncover nature’s most beneficial ingredients. Each one has been carefully selected for its own unique property, and are all grown in a sustainable and organic environment. The packaging is also green.
Another of Ghanim’s businesses, Papercut, is an eco-friendly packaging business. With sustainability at the core of Enbat Holdings, Ghanim’s all-natural skincare brand, Botany, will move its entire production from Australia to Doha, Qatar, in 2025.
And as if this wasn’t keeping him busy enough, Ghanim’s passion for sharing knowledge has seen him partner with more than 50 schools and universities, offering engaging talks and workshops for young people.
A shining example of how passion, innovation, and a deep sense of responsibility can come together to create lasting change, Ghanim is not just building multiple successful businesses. He is crafting a legacy that will inspire and guide future generations towards a more sustainable and compassionate world.
